Post Wilkinson Pickups
Have anyone heard about this brand? I have those in my weller custom, their active so I thought they'll be just fine for all sort of metal stuff but it turns out I was wrong. Those pu's are good for clean jazzy stuff and overdriven rock but can't givea massive brutal sound like my dimebucker dose(and it's passive). Maybe it's something with wireing but I thought all active pu's are made for metal like stuff just to give that extra signal to give our distortion more DB and now I'am shocked Smile Can some one tell me why a medium signal HB's need to be active and what for?

Dimebucker is one of the strongest pickup in the World Very Happy . Active pickups have also better dynamics so they can be used in light music. EMG has also single coils in offert so it's not only for extrems... Wilkinson is known mostly becouse of its bridges Smile

Yes, active pickups don't have to be used only in the heaviest kinds of music Smile . I've seen some EMGs to Stratocaster and its owner has written that they aren't good in havy stuff(to this music we have 81 Wink ) but they're super in blues... I don't remebmer their names but I'm sure that they were active Smile
