 What does your guitar weigh?
What's your guitar's approximate weight, and how do you feel about it?

All my guitars are fairly light.
It makes me feel that all my guitars are fairly light.
Thank you.

All my electric guitars are Ibanez JS100's, which are among the lightest guitars on the market. I really like it, I have back problems but I can have one of these around my neck all night and not even notice it's there. It's also a small guitar, so it's very comfortable in my hands.

my Sonex (which is the guitar i use for stage, when weight matters) is heavy as f***, i have no idea what it actually weighs, but i know it's heavy.
fortunately, i haven't had to do a really long set yet.
you'd figure, a little guy like me would want a light guitar, but i prefer to have a heavy guitar, with a comfortable strap, go figure.

Heavier guitars seem to do better with sustain anyway. I know most people write it off as a myth, but it seems more than that to me. A strat doesn't ring out quite like a Les Paul, etc.

I have a Ibanez SZ with a thick mahogany body which is very heavy, and I like thick, heavy guitars. For me, it's important to really feel you have a guitar strapped around your neck. And the tone gets richer of course too.

i agree... i have a squire that ways a ton, the first sound when you pick it up is UUGGGGHHHH!!!!!!
but it has great sustain. i dont think its a myth but i do think its got something to do with the KIND of tonewood used meaning possibly that less expensive woods need to weigh more to sound good?..... alder vs mahohony or swamp ash

I think my LP weighs 10.5 lbs. and my SG weighs in at about 8.
that's if I remember the shipping weight correctly.
The heavier it is... the HEAVIER it is.
I want a Les Paul carved from Granite

I'll take a solid cement Strat. Real rock guitar. Bad joke #2 for the day, score.

Acousitcs almost nothing. EC-1000 very lightweight and comfortable, my only really heavy guitar is the Peavey T-60. Heavier than a Les Paul, I am bad at estimating weight but this thing is heavy....just the way I like it
