 What Amp should I get?
I am just about to go to the store to get a amp (I like a lot of sounds and fx) Last time I went I saw three amps that I liked here are the names Marshall MG30DFX (30 watts), Line6 Spider III (30 watts), Roland Cube 30X (30 watts).
What one is the best or is there one better than all of them? I would like to keep the price 250$ and under (if possible)

this isnt a jackass reply ...so dont take it that way , but which one do you like better ?
its all about what works for you.
i would think all three are good.
it just depends on which is better for your style.

for that kind of money , you would have to buy a used amp.
are you looking for a combo , a head , solid state , digital modeling , tube ...ect ?

If your looking to just jam at home for personal use I'd say Spider III all the way.

agreed... it's a fun amp. I own a couple Peaveys and a Crate... but it's definitely fun jamming on a Spider at GC...

I've played all three, but don't like any of 'em in the slightest, so it's not my call... much better IMO to get an amp with one great sound than several mediocre ones. I'd buy a Laney LC15R.

for $250 you can get a brand new BlackHeart lil Giant 5 watt tube head , and matching 1x12 cabinet.
thats a sweet tube halfstack for $250 !!!
it wont be a metal beast , but a good distortion pedal would push that baby into metal heaven.
i think that will be the BEST amp in your price range .
check 'em out.
and dont be fooled by the 5 watts ....a 5 watt tube amp is loud , and the more you crank a tube amp , the better they sound.

i have the Valve Jr. head , and i love it.
but the 1x12 is a stinkin OPEN back cabinet ....gggrrrrrrr
the lil Giant seems to be an improved Valve Jr. .......well worth the extra $20 in my opinion.
i will buy the Lil Giant half stack soon.
