That's actually the reason I had to order it in, they don't cary these anymore. Kind of a shame, rack gear you can get some fairly interesting tones out of, but how can you experiment when they don't have it on display. My guitarist recently canned his Line 6 Vetta, kept his Mesa stereo 190 Power amp, and bought some Marshall preamp (you guys would know more than me about names rack preamps) with a bunch of single pedals and it's so versatile. I actually may never own an amp head now.

I have a Carvin Master Tube Series combo amp from 2003. got it for $700 bucks with a foot switch brand new.

2 channels - clean and dirty
4 6L6GC power tubes
5 12AX7A pre amp tubes
2 Celestion G1275T 75w 12 inch speakers
buffered effects loop
2 speaker outputs
master reverb and presence
Bias switch for EL34 or 6L6 tubes
100w or 50w selection switch for more output.

pretty sweet little amp.

only problem is that it weighs like 70 pounds, no joke.

now Carvin started using their own "Brit" speakers for this amp now so I don't think its as good as it was when I got it.

I also have a Roland Micro cube and a Fender FM210R
Jackson DK2S Custom
Fender Custom strat w/ Dimarzio Evolutions
Ibanez Jem
Ibanez TCM50
Carvin 3212 MTS combo
Line 6 Uber Metal
various Boss pedals
Morley Bad Horsie Wha 2

for my main amp i've been using Randall RH200, through a generic 4 x 12 cab.

I paid...

just under $500 for my Peavey 5150 half stack and I ended up adding a 2nd cab later on to even up the sound (because I'm the only guitarist on stage for for my band). I have a peavey classic 30 for doing blues stuff that I fill in for and use that at at practice. A Fender Bassman for live performances pushes it harder. The 5150 is all I'd ever need for the metal stuff! It roars and has always treated me well!!!!

Live, I'm using a Line 6 Vetta II HD into one or two 2-12 Vetta cabinets. I bought the system as a package deal with the floorboard for a little under $2K.

The amp has been modified with a much improved power supply and analog signal path prior to the A/D converters.

For recording, I'll use the Vetta as an effects unit. For amps, I've got a early 70's Fender VibroChamp and a Fender Hotrod DeVille.

how are you using it as an FX unit?
I have a spider and I have long wondered if you could use it like a giant POD, but I always got a really bad signal from it.
