Hi there, I never tried to do it before, so that's why I'm asking your advice

I play with my band, and we're looking forward to record our music

But at a First time, I'd like to know how can I record it,

Should I plug the output of my ME-50 in my In/ entry in my computer ?

Or is there anything better to record your music ?

And I want to record only my guitar tracks..

Thanks for the help, sorry for my English, I'm foreign.

what is an ME-50 ?
to plug into your computer you will need an interface of some sort...to convert your analog signal to digital.

ME-50s are like a downgrade of a GT-8. just not as much features.

i assume that the ME-50 , and GT-8 are multi effects units,or preamps of some sort ?

sorry...i havent kept up with all the new effects and things.
i just tend to plug in and play ....my poor old rack system must feel abandoned.

do you still need an interface with these effects units ?

do these new units have USB ports ?

i would think SOMEONE would be making them by now.

i'm in the middle of recording right now, oddly though, i just plug my amp in and let people who know more than i do about recording handle the rest of it.

my singer uses Reason and Pro-Tools, i'm not sure what he has as the interface.

I dun think the ME-50 has a Usb port, but it has a midi port i think... Mic up and record perhaps?

PS: i dunno what midi is, just remember reading it from an ad of ME-50

when i have the opportunity, i'm going to post up some of the rough tracks we are cutting with it.

i have never been so happy with my guitar tone.

I wouldn't suggest plugging straight into the comps. input. Especially if you plan on using a 1/4- 1/8 adapter stereo or mono. Unless you have a very powerful sound card... you'll burn it up. Actually try the line 6 tone port.

no, no, i play industrial, so all the synth and drums are done with reason, then the guitars run through a mixer and pro-tools.

i haven't really been a large part of the process on the Reason end of the recording project, thus far, mostly i come in say what i like and record my guitars over it.

in all my recording experiences up to now i have never been happy with my guitar tone, but the combination of the amp i'm using, and the guitar i'm using, this time (my V through a Randall RX 200) has really produced a tone i'm happy with.
