I'm looking for good tremolo effect . What do you think about Boss? Does tremolo sound better before preamp or after it??

Iv got the Boss one and its ace.
I don't usually even run my pedals through the fx loop on my amp
(too many cable to trip over!)
sounds great though.

I'd say get the electro-harmonix stereo pulsar. It sounds fuckin awesome. I'd also recommend the Marshall VT1 VibraTrem. Both are good and around 80 bucks new (marshall is cheaper).

my vote is: tremolo sounds better after the preamp, the extra cables from the effects loop can be tidied up by making your own snake... what i did was i bought several guitar leads and an extension cord (to power my pedal board) and used heat shrink and gaffer tape to build my own snake to go from my amp to my pedal board. works like a charm, tidy, means i can use my effects loop without tripping over a bajillion cables. and i'm a student so DIY=cheap=gooooood
depending on your budget, yes boss are amazing but if you're poor like me the cheapy Nobels does the trick... can select multiple waveforms like the boss, sounds fine. but boss is better if you can afford it.

You have to run the temelo after the preamp or you'll get singal cutting. Boss makes the best tremelo I've seen so far. Using tremelo is a tricky business in that too much will cut your tone down.
