 The first solo you learned?
So tell me, I'm trying to get good solos to learn. What was your first? Did it make you understand how solos where built?

What kind of solo? Because there are regular solos and there are shred solos that require years of disciplined training
Anyways I realised how solos are built by studying modes and keys and stuff... the first solo I learned was System of a Down - Streamline not the longest or hardest solo out there but still kicks ass

Hell yeah, I remember the first solo I learned, it was when I first learned Tab, and Slayer had just released Seasons in the Abyss, I learned that song, and how NOT to play that solo, but I did my best!!!

strokes - heart in a cage. Not a conventional solo but great for a beginner to have a go at.

Try James solo from master of puppets it's easy like hell and still fun to play but it's for the beginners mostly if you play for more then a couple of months you will have no problem with it.

Funny! I think it was either Living After Midnight (priest) or Have a Drink on Me (ac/dc) The first riff I actually learned was that from Wonderful Tonight (ec)
