schecter omen 6 - fret buzz problem!!
hey guys
i just got a used schecter omen 6 diamond series
and it has some serious fret buzz on the thicher strings (EAD are terrible, and it gets better as i go from G to B to high E)
i do not think its the nut or the fret, because the guitar played fine the last time the owner played
i also dont think that its the truss rod as the neck curvature looks fine to me
i tried moving the saddles up a bit
and i also tried lifting up the left side of the bridge
doesnt seem to help much.............
do i need to fix up the bridge for even higher action, or is something else the problem?
(also, can i adjust the bridge while the strings are on normally,
or do i have to de-string or make them really flat so that the strings can move more easily?)

The neck curvature may look fine, but you'd be surprised how much a little adjustment on the truss rod and a few tweaks on the bridge can do while still keeping the neck straight. if the guitar played fine the last time the owner played it than it probably just settled in a new position because of humidity. and often newer guitars tend to warp a little due to excess moisture in the neck from a rushed production.
it may just need an adjustment, let it settle then see how it feels?
other than that it may just have a few high frets.. which you can just wear them in after playing it for a while, but it doesn't seem like the frets.
just mess with it, if it doesn't work you can just adjust it back to the way it was.

i think i'll try raising the bridge,
but i heard somewhere that if i raise my tun o matic bridge too much, it can definitely harm the guitar

this is how much it is raised right now... would it harm the guitar to raise it any more??
also, when i adjust the bridge, do i have to mess with the truss rod to adjust tension or stress or that kinda stuff??
also (2), when i raise the bridge, should i have the both sides of the bridge equally raised, or can i leave it a little different in each side??

well i've never heard of the bridge actually damaging the guitar, unless you were to raise it ridiculously. the action looks fine, and you've got plenty of room to raise it as well.
the sides don't need to be even, and often the low E is higher. the only thing that would need adjustment would be the intonation. and tweek the truss rod a bit if the action is too high.
the bridge probably doesn't need to much adjustment, you should really try messing with the truss rod, that should probably fix i!t

 Simple answer
This is an easy one, fret wear. You simply have some dead frets, this happens to all guitars over time and it is solved by getting your axe a fret dressing (or re crowning) or a re fret if its really bad, your local custom shop should do it for like £50/$100. Google it!

please just go to your local guitar shop and get it set up or the frets leveled.
problem solved.
