Well, it depends on what style you play, im guessing metal but it depends how fast you intend to play, the jackson will have a faster neck but unfortunatelly the cheaper jacksons have an awfull bold on joint that really inhibits your playing to the higher frets while i believe the schecters are set necks and this problem is near to non existant, however the action should be a couple of mill lower on the jackson and the build quality slightly higher. Personally I dont like the warrior series, they are uncomfy and unbalenced, and my personal choice would be a hellraiser c1 without a floyd rose as the trem that you would get would be cheaply made and a royal pain in the arse. You loose a hell of alot of tone and sustain with the FR system, and they the only ones that i think are worth havign are the Us made speedloader, ibanez ZR, ibanez edge zero, kahler or steinberger. Basically schecter pay royalties to FR to use the design, official Fr trems are good, but because of the low price guitar manufacturers use crappy metals and poor quality parts, a TOM (tune o matic) bridge is pretty hard to go wrong with.
You could also try a peavey V type, the guy out of Lamb of god played one, its neck through and Fr or string through with nice pups. http://images4.thomann.de/pics/prod/203406.jpg. Very good guitar for a tiny price. Or try esp guitars.

I hope I have helped, pm me if you want more info.

I'd second a C1 without the floyd rose. I have a jackson with a floyd and it seems a lot of the sustain and tone is lost on it. My ibanez without a floating bridge and with passive pickups has more sustain and tone than the jackson with active pickups.

I've played both. I like both. At my local Guitarcenter, the Schecter was less expensive and came with EMG non-active pickups that I really like the sound of. I would personally go with the Schecter and spend the saved money on lunch with my GF, but that is me.

Schecters are really good guitars for the price. Jackson's, however are good too. Both are available with licensed Floyd Rose trems (but those trems can be difficult and troublesome... I'd go with a fixed bridge version). Both get pretty high reviews (even the budget Jacksons). After having played several different Schecters and Jacksons, Schecter seems to offer more excellent deals, as they have pretty high quality instruments for the price. The Schecter Damien 6 FR is an example of a pretty high quality instrument for such a low price. There are of course better guitars, but financially speaking, its a really good deal for a guitar that definitely sounds good, plays well, and is under 500 bucks. The C-1's are good guitars as well, but more expensive. Anyways, between the guitars in particular you mentioned, I'd have to choose the Schecter C-1.

Is the schector the 7 string? If so, my friend has it, and it sounds amazing. i personally just can't get used to the 7th string though.
still sounds amazing though.
