I've been told that Heritage guitars are made by the same persons that used to work for Gibson and made Gibson guitars. I've also heard that Heritage guitars are of higher quality than Gibsons. Can anyone certify this? Even if they are better, are they good for playing new kinds of music like metal? Or are they vintage style (pickups, neck) and are better suited for oldies stuff? (couldn't find enough specs at their site)

i have played a few Heritage guitars ... they seem to be very nice instruments.
the ones i have played are aimed at the "vintage" crowd.
