stereo/mono effects...

Postby NHBluesMan » Sat Oct 03, 2009 10:13 pm

hey guys, so, here's my question...

my current set-up: Boss TU-2 Tuner, VOX Big Bad Wah, EHX Micro-POG, Visual Sound Jekyll and Hyde, Boss DD-5, Line 6 MM4 modulation pedal, all through a Fender 212 Deville... the other day, i was messing around with my roommates amp, playing in stereo, and i hooked up the Micro-POG's effect out line directly into the MM4's stereo input, bypassing the Jekyll and Hyde and DD-5... i can't afford a 2nd amp (and its annoying to lug around 2) so i was wondering:

1) can i use a Y cable to run the stereo channels of my MM4 into the single input of my amp?
2) my amp has 2 inputs, but would it hurt my amp to run both of the stereo sounds into it?

if anyone has any insights or info on this, i'd really appreciate it. Thanks everyone!!
tune low, play hard, and floor it!!!

You might have tone problems. modulation pedals often use opposite phase signals in stereo outputs and cancellation of frequencys will result. Plus it won't sound stereo. Best bet is the ordeal of lugging another amp.
