It depends on what you're into. Some folks dig this. Others dig that. Not everyone is down with everything.

A quick look at Youtube shows that Yngwie has influenced a lot of guitarists and I am one of them. Instrumental music is different from music that has vocals because it is written differently. As a guitarist, I have to respect what Yngwie has achieved. I don't use the same approach, but I have a definite appreciation for Neo Classical metal because of Yngwie. My favorites of his songs all contain vocals and the solos are shorter than the instrumental pieces. "Black Star" and "Blue" are my favorites of his instrumentals. :mrgreen:
