 Playin' home the bacon.
Most of us at one point or another probably had or are still having the rock star dream. Of course, that would be the cat's meow, but there are many facets to being a musician, each of which could creatively be used to support one's self.
Using your talents and interests in guitar, and perhaps music in general, what would your dream job be?
Maybe you're already living the dream. What do you do and how did you come upon it?
For me, I'd love do build guitars and amps. I'd love to be able to create exactly what I want, or what a customer wants, when it isn't available anywhere else. Of course, that's second on the list to Rock Star!

 Re: Playin' home the bacon.
Speaking of bacon, I'd like to eat it all day long and not get overweight or die of congenial heart failure. Oh, and get paid for it.
Mmm.....bacon!

you could offer a Homer Simpson signature model !
it would look just like a knob on his control pannel at the new clear power plant.

i think if i could do anything at all i would want to work on the recording/producing end. i love the atmosphere of working in the studio.

I could live in the studio, as long as it was a solo project. Most group studio projects I've been involved in have been rushed, and as a result a little stressful and a lot creatively stifling.
Of course, after watching the making of DVD that came with the new Dream Theater Systematic Chaos album, building an album from the ground up entirely in the studio has it's appeal. I guess it has to be the right chemistry between those involved.
I don't know if I could work in a studio recording someone else, either. I don't know if I can maintain that level of detachment that would be neccesary. You know what they say, "No one can poke the fire right." Not that I'm a snob or anything, I'm just kind of a hands on, in-the-thick-of-it kind of person.
Microwave bacon is brilliant, but I still prefer it cooked in a well seasoned cast iron skillet!
