Post pedal suggestions
hey guys,
i want a pedal what will give me a classic-ish distortion, kindof white stripes sounding. im all about analog. the older the better. also do any of you know what the ibanez pedal is called that can make your guitar sound like an organ or accordion or something? i think its like a dark blue colour.

Post Good Distortion Pedals
I like the Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer. The Boss SD1 Super Overdrive and the Older Marshall Guvnor are also some good sounding distortion pedals.

The Small Stone from Electro Harmonix (or anything from EH for that matter, is pretty vintage, and very simple to operate) that might be something that you're looking for.

yep i agree, the eh big muff (specially if you get the US made one, not the russian one) would be ideal for that kinda stuff i think. make sure you put it through the clean channel of your amp for best effect, well that's how it works for me anyway.
i have one and i love it.
i also use an Aphek Peanut Butter pedal (a boutique overdrive) which has some VERY nice tones, specially when played thru a valve amp on clean.

good fuzz sound = EH pedals, basically anything from the Muff line
good classic distortion without a tube amp = boss DS-1, easily tweakable, and very versatile. To get even more options out of it, you can send it away for about $40 and get some mods put in by Keeley (both Steve Vai and Joe Satriani use Keeley modded DS-1's, along with countless other famous guitarists)
