theres no real order to effects, like if it sounds good then its fine..
my set up is wah, dist, chorus, phase 90, delay, volume, maximizer, tuner.
i like to have my volume at the end of my chain so i can have control over all my effects, instead of having it at the begining on the chain...that doesnt seem logical to me...but i dont know

the best place for time based effects...delay,chorus,flange...ect. is after distortion. but if it sounds good..IT IS GOOD. keep rockin !

there is a system you "could use" but i think it more up to the player than anything else. some say you shouldnt use your timie device's before the pre amp and use the send / return ...dont get me to lying ....here is mine
tuner/compressor/volume/dist/ps5 / phaser/delay before the rack mount unit...here is something i have found to be very helpful in the placement of your volume control (if you have one), i put mine in the front so i can use it instead of the volume knob on my guitar. i use the synth effect from my rack a lot and to get the swells just right i had to put it up first.
hey what do i know .....

I find that FX such as delay sound better [sound is alot clearer] through the FX loop ... but that's just me.

i find that it depends on which pedals you have, and the best way is to try all the possible combinations for the best output.
for example, i've always gone with the FUZZ (muff) > Wah (JD) > chorus (Boss) > phaser (vintage ibanez) kind of logic, but then i got this boutique OD "peanut butter" by aphek. i put that in line after the EH muff, and it all sounded like crap... the wah did nothing to the sound, and the Peanut butter had a real dodgy tone. So i moved it around and found that now it works best like this: WAH > OD > FUZZ > CHORUS > PHASER. which is quite unusual....

IMo there're 2 possibilities:
1)With drive form amp:
Guitar -> Vol Pedal -> Wah -> Booster -> Amp = FX Send -> Eq -> Modulation -> Delay/Reverb = FX Return -> Cabinet
2)With drive from pedal:
Guitar -> Vol Pedal -> Wah -> Booster -> Overdrive/Distortion -> Eq -> Amp = FX Send -> Modulation -> Delay/Reverb = FX Return -> Cabinet
