best octaver on the market? pros? cons?

IMO one of the best octaver is that new Boss but I like sound of cheap Behringer's octaver

Yes, Boss OC-2 is good but OC-1 is good too. I didn't play with Behringer and I won't do this. I would be afraid about it's casing...

It only looks bad... Casings aren't bad... If you don't jump on its it won't broke...

You could always ebay a broken Boss pedal and do a transplant. I've seen them go as low as $.99 US plus $5 for shipping.

i definetly dig the boss oc-2, very versatile and good quality build that boss puts out, definetly a good choice for octavers

yeah, i want a digitech whammy soooo bad.... but for an octave up or down effect... the danelectro ones are pretty good i think they are the chili dog and french fries? dano shit is pretty decent bang for the buck usually.

I've only played around with a boss one in a store.... was pretty fun to play with, but I'm not sure if I could find a use for it in songs...
