I own for a while MD-2. Not very new but still...
a bit more clear than MT-2. I rather MD-2 because mt-2 is for heavy metal (some people like guy from Gov't Mule use it for blues xD).
A MT-2 ma więcej siary . (sorry for lang but guy is pole like me, and i didn't knew how to say it in eng ).

I haven't really tried any, but I am pedal shopping now, I know I need a good delay and tuner.

the boss white tuning pedal is a fantastic tuner, and a great value. i think it's called the TU-2 if i'm not mistaken? it's also nice because it has a power out feature that allows you to power multiple other boss pedals from one adaptor which is nice. i use the boss DD-3 delay pedal. (i think that's the model number) and it's a pretty versatile delay. it sounds great through my FX loop, and it is by far the most used pedal i have, next to my tuner. as for distortion, i've never liked stomp box distortion, with the exception of the electro harmonix big muff, which i use very rarely, mostly for studio textures. i recently bought an ibanez tube screamer, which is pretty much a standard stomp box to have for any guitarist. it can creat pretty nice sounds on top of an already girtty tone. ibanez also makes a fat cat distortion which has a neat sound. my favorite of all distortion pedals i have ever owned, and sadly somehow managed to lose at a gig, was a toneworks tube driver distortion pedal. it actually has a 12AX& tube inside the pedal. it's a fantastic little gadget, i want to buy another one, but they are always so damn pricey. one of these days i'll track one down again!! KORG rack mount tuners are also pretty decent in my opinion. most every professional studio i've ever been in has one sitting up on the desk beside the NS-10's. while boss doesn't exactly make boutique effects pedals, they are very durable, and have lasted me for years and years on the road. they are also very cost effective, and offer a wide variety of different effects, all in the same shape and size that make for a nice, organized pedal board.

I'm definitely getting that tuner. Also I was planning on getting the boss DD-3 or DD-6 (which is ssame s the 3 but has a few more delay models like "warp" and "reverse").

Not a big fan of the Boss Metal pedals but the DS 1 is okay.
Those new Bassman and Deluxe Reverb pedlas are sweet. they sound awesome.
I think the new fuzz pedal could be good too.

as far as the DD6 and chorus pedals go, I think thay Boss are the best... when it comes to distortion and synth effects, go line 6.
I have the TU pedla tuner from boss. wouldn't play without it.

The DS-1 is good for topping off a good amp distrortion, but it sounds pretty band IMO when you play it through a clean channel.

the old DS-1 is amazing. the ones they have made for the past 20 years suck. generally any boss pedal that was made in japan is decent. as far as the new ones go, the digital delays (including chorus and reverb) are pretty good effects.

i tried out the FDR-1 (based on the Deluxe Reverb) and it sounds great!. Although, i probably wouldn't but it, just cause i can think of other guitar stuff i'd rather spend the $150 on

i'm not really into reverb pedals... buy a good amp with it. i don't think heavily distorted guitars should have much of it either... clean, that's a different story

the pedal is based off of the 'deluxe reverb amp' by fender, not just a fender reverb unit.

right right. i read up on it when it came out and that one MIGHT be ok in my book. but for live stuff, i usually let the sound guy add in verb if he wants or if you are in the studio, have them do it. unless of course you have amazing amp verb
