Ive been playing for 6 months and play mostly chords and read some tab . I want to learn a scale right now thats sounds fun . Can someone show me please i read online but dont fuilly understand . I know the pentonic where you start at the 6th string say 5th fret to the 6 string 8th fret and down the strings . but like i cant seem to like make anything sound like catchie . Like what scale can i learn thats easy enough to have fun with . A scale aminor ?? im like at a slump right now . not sure where to go from here . Thank you Pat

well pat, this is the place to be if you have questions. we'll try to answer as best as we can for you. from my end, i would go get a scale book from your local guitar shop and start lerning those. that is what i did and it has worked fairly well for me

Try some blues scales... learn the whole neck and then play around. This will improve your playing. You can even play along with some cd's and improvise with it. You can start by just playing the scale but then you can start skpping around and making it sound like music.

Just use the first one to understand it and then after that all it does is move around on the neck.
It's not as complicated as it looks. Trust me this is what you need. I learned this from my dad so I didn't really look online for stuff. Hope this helps you out. If you need more info just search around the internet for more tab and such.
