It looks like a nice home studio rig.
I have used quite a bit of Mackie PA gear over the years. Their stuff isn't buit to take a beating....but then what is these days?
I should think that the first thing you should get for it would be the BEST AC power conditioning you can afford. When you USB your amp to your computer you can't be too careful.
I like the feature set but I don't like it when they copy VOX's idea of where the controls go.
VOX built their first guitar amps thinking the guitar player should stand BEHIND the amp while playing and too many manufacturers like to copy that bad, bad idea. It looks cool, but the function leaves much to be desired.
I like the fact that you have an adjustible output setting (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 30, 60, 120 watts) and a Master volume.
It is a feature-laden box, no doubt. But I keep coming back to the fact that when you have so many controls, you need to be able to get them FAST.......like when you are in the middle of a song and you have to make a quick change.
Backlit LCD screens are a pain in the a$$ under real bar-room science lighting conditions.
I havent heard it either but I would like to.
I didn't see a price on it either. My guess would be $500 range and another $300 for the pedal.
I wonder if they plan to sell the head by itself?
I didn't see anyplace on it to put my beer either.
As gadget-happy as Greg Mackie is, I would have thought that he would include a decent cup-holder. If he wants to sell ME an amp...........
YEP!!!

The Vox amps have the optional floorboard, though. I'm assuming Mackie would be smart enough to do the same.

Availible at what I assume will be an additional charge.
The REC and PLAY/STOP look interesting. I couldn't find any documentation on it to say what programs it is compatible with.
