 Lessons
Do any of you people take lessons to learn how to play? And if so how much do you pay for them the store near me you have to pay 22/27.50 per 30 min lesson and a $15.00 registration fee. To me that seems like alot of money

between 20-25 is a pretty normal rate. you MIGHT be able to find cheaper but that is a regular rate

I used to teach guitar lessons about 20 years ago but I destroyed too many brain cells since then to remember what I charged.
I'm not a smart man, but I know what shredding is...

I get £20 ($40) an hour, that's pretty much the going rate for all instrumental lessons (1-on-1) here. My wife's drum lessons only cost her £15 an hour though, which is cool.

I got a pretty sweet deal with this brilliant and gorgeous jazz singer/songwriter who tracked me down to have me do a guest guitar solo on one song on her last album. She offered to give me lessons as long as I would be involved with her band. I took lessons with her for about six-months, also got involved in a relationship with her which ultimately soured, spoiling the musical relationship as well. Lesson well learned!

Never get your honey where you get your money. I guess that applies to band situations as well.
