I would like to get a new guitar and new small tube amp in order to achieve a Led Zeppelin, ACDC, and Black Sabbath sound. I am willing to spend up to $1000 on a guitar and $800 on a tube amp. I would prefer a tube amp with excellent cleans with a decent overdrive channel IF I can use a overdrive/distortion pedal to get the sounds I want. Also, no amp over 50 watts since I won't be gigging. Thanks.

Oh man, try the "Bad Cat" Hot Cat 30 amp. You'll love the clean. Whats really sweet is you have the option, via toggle switch, to use a solid state rectifier, or a tube rectifier. Its all tube/*semi solid state if chosen* 30 watts, and rip your face off overdriven sounds.

If I were you I would buy Epiphone Blues Custom and Gibson SG Special Fatted . IMO it's really good set to music in this style

Buy an epiphone Iommi signature and marshall jcm 900 it will get you as near as possible to all of those sounds at once

JCM900 is really good idea but if I would choose between Gibson SG Special Fatted and Epiphone Iommi signature I would take Gibson...
