I'm buying a new guitar soon. I was considering the three guitars mentioned in the subject. Which one would you go for? I play anything form Metallica to Dire Straits, meaning I've got no definite style
I've had a bitter experience with one of those licensed Floyd Rose bridges. The one in my Washburn RS980 won't hold tune any more after bomb diving. I got some helpful tips in a previous topic on that, but I've decided I'm gonna go for a new guitar. The guy at the guitar shop next door told me to avoid Floyd Rose bridges. He said that I will eventually have trouble with it, for sure. His recommendation was a Les Paul Standard. With it, he said, I won't go wrong. But I'd feel better if I had a whammy bar at hand.
The thing is that I really like the design of the JEM or the KingV much more than the Les Paul. My main concern, though, is the reliability of the Floyd Rose. If I payed about 2000€ and the thing wouldn't hold tune, I'd kill the guy who sold it to me
