 Humbuckers from HELL!
Which one is the best for hard/heavy? I'am using SD SH-13 "dimbag
signature it's heavy like hell and can deliver decent sound even on clean channal. Although sometimes it can get your sound little muddy and it's passive so it doesn't have such an output like EMG-81 but it doesn't need batteries and doesn't create so much feedback like active HB.

I use two EMG-81 with my B.C. Rich and it sounds brutal but as far as I know passive EMG-HZ 4 are quite decent too.

I use EMG-HZ humbuckers. They are great for hard rock/metal music. I prefer them than active EMGs. But it's just my own opinion.

Zakk Wylde uses EMG81 and EMG85's on all of his guitars. Nuff said?

EMGs are very specyfic and not everyone likes them... I don't . My friend bought guitar with 2 EMGs 81 on eBay and he's not happy. He plays thrash so he need powerful pickups but his next guitar will have passive pickups

That's why Zakk and I both use an 81 in the bridge and an 85 in the neck position. No one pickup will give you the right sound all the time and putting 2 81s on a guitar is stupid in my opinion you need the difference to get the real power.

Everyone knows that in THRASH we use only bridge pickup . That was joke but I really don't like EMGs. IMO this pickups steal the 'wood sound'...

Bareknuckle pickups all the way.
Their Warpig humbucker is absoloutely BRUTAL. It has the heaviest, darkest, most volatile sound. Harmonically rich as well.
Or a less heavy pickup, the Nailbomb.

Greatest pickups I have ever used...

Huh? I was under the impression that active pickups don't feedback as much as passive pickups. I have Active EMG 81 and 85 and I think they are tons quieter then the passive pickups that were in there before.

My EMG 81s don't ever feed back, unless I stand 2 feet in front of my amp facing the speakers. I can leave the volume at max, walk around, not touching the strings, and you won't hear a peep out of them.

I love the Rio Grande BBQ humbucker. It's big and loud and handles anything that I throw at it.
