How do you stick your pedals to a pedal board
I've got a Boss HM3, a Yamaha Compressor, a Zoom G2 and an expression pedal. But I cant figure out how to stick it securly to a DIY board I made.
Any ideas? tried velcro though i think it was pretty uhmm loose.
thanks!

Well for the dirt cheap method, but a 2x4 and some metal brakets. Put your pedals down, and screw a bracket in the top left and bottom right of each pedal. It won't stick to the board, but it's not going to slide anywhere or feel loose like velcro.

dude get 3-M heavy duty velcro, my aunt works for them so i get hooked up for free, and this stuff actually tore off the backing on my phase-90 when i tried to take the pedal off the board, haha that stuff is amazing and even holds my dunlop crybaby and eb volume pedal nicely!

drill some holes and the board and tie them down with those plastic quick tie things...a friend of mine did that and it works good.

I use velcro on the bottom of mine, the board itself has some for of fabric covering so they stick to it fine.

this idea works like super glue and if you ever want to take them back off, just cut the tie wraps. i use this idea on my "old school" Morley power wah. it even hold it in place for as big as it is and heavey.

I use velcro but i find after a while the velcro falls off the bottom of the pedal and then you get this gunky, nasty, residue left behind.
I like the quick-tie idea. I don't know anyone who has done that but it seems reasonable. I don't think that would work for my pedalboard being that my board is basically a wood box covered in felt like material, with hinges, clasps and a handle on it. If i drilled holes in it I would have holes that expose my pedals to the elements! No good but if you have some different type of board, I say go for it.

I had a concept (I sure someone has done this?) of taking the backing off your pedal (assume Boss or Dunlop), get longer version of the screws they use and go through the board into your pedal.
With a screw longenough, you can probably leave the back plate on?

I've done this as well on one of the incarnations of my pedal board. It worked quite well when I FINALLY found the right screws - WHICH TOOK FOREVER!

Not all of us yank's are smart enough to call it by it's real name.
I think the only people who call it that are the ones with thick, black, horned-rimmed glasses and pencils in their pockets.
Drink-up MATE!!!
