Post guitar slides
i noticed that using a guitar slide on an acoustic(dunlop glass slide) sounds incredible, though when i use it on my rg's with a lot of gain its not as distinct as it is on acoustic. im thinking its my equipment, i use a boss mt-2 and bd-2 in combination to get a really high gain clear tone. though it gets feedback if open....but with the slide it isnt as clear...im yet to experiment with dimarzio evos on my guitars(since im saving up for some right now) but i would hope guitar slide would be clearer on that....anyone have any tips or experience with guitar slide on electric guitar with high gain tones?

I play a lot of slide guitar and the hardest thing is getting a perfect tone on an amp guitar combo. I just finished a studio project playing slide. I used a Epiphone ES-175 through a Marshall half stack. I used a brass slide, set the tone and bass full, no midrange, turn the gain up just enough to give it a slight ditry sound and finally strung the guitar with some fat strings. I had the same problem going from an acoustis guitar to electric guitar when I fisrt made the transition. Slide is great, listen to early L.Z.
