So try guitars form Ibanez, Jackson, Music Man Smile . How much money do you have?? Few day ago I playied on Jem 555 and it was great!!! Also Satch's signatures are good - JS 1000 - it kills!!! From Jackson I can propose Rhoads(RR-1 and RR-3) and Soloists(SL-1 and SL-2). Music Man?? Eddie Van Halen's and Petrucci's signatures Smile

I'd say a good low action speed guitar would be an Ibanez S or RG model, maybe a Jem, or a Andy Timmons, most of them have that oiled maple neck/rosewood fretboard combo that tend to be fast playing guitars. Fender plays fairly fast as well I think, PRS, Gibson, those companies, not so fast.

If I were you I would choose alder or basswood guitar with maple and rosewood neck. It sholud have two humbuckers and one single coil. Floyd Rose is necessary Wink . It means that good guitar for You would be Ibanez or Jackson...

Check out Ibanez, Jackson, and Schecter

Ibanez have very fast necks and are great for shred, as hundreds of guitarists can attest too

Jacksons, personally, i don't like the necks, feel kindof big

Schecters, my personal favorite, thin neck, huge frets, low action, great for shredding

but try them all out and see what you think

i'm going to have to second the whole ibanez thing here. i own one and WOW do they move. really solid guitars. if you're looking for low fret action, get it setup. setups work wonders for those guitars.
