I'am planing to buy a fernandes vertigo Elite series, have someone got any expirience with fernandes guitars? What can you tell me about that susteiner thing, I heard it can make a single note sound for hours but what else is it useful for?

Don't know if its for hours but they do go on for as long as you want it to...lol But it good for feed back squeals and hold most notes that other guitars can't. They are fun to play around with. For what else you can use them for one ex. is you can start a song out with a rht. and come in with holding a note for a bit until you ready to start the songs verse. or you can end the song same way with holding the note until end of song.

Steve Vai has a sustainer unit in acouple of his guitars. Basically it acts the same way as an e-bow, except you don't need to hold anything over the string. You just hit a switch and then pluck or vibrato the string and the sustainer unit creates a field that keeps the vibration going. Thats the best way i can think to explain it. Wouldn't mind getting one of those put into a guitar.
