Post Fender neck question
Just wondering if anyone knew the main differences between a mexican neck and an american neck? I've heard that mexican necks naturally have lower action than american necks is this true and why?

I'll start with frets. The frets on American mad necks are TYPICALLY fatter and larger than that of Mexican made ones. The neck shapes still vary from neck to neck reguardless of there origin. I can say that there are certain shape necks that you really wont find on anything bt American made necks because they are usually something vintage and a re-issue of something classic.

There are about 10-15 difference neck shapes that are typical to Fender guitars.

All in all, I still stand by the idea that you have to play them to know if they are good for you. I have played probably close to 75% of every Fender model in existence and I can tell you that each one, same model or not, are very different at times.
