 Amp set ups (the eagles)
hey,
does anyone know or have any info on the eagles amp set ups? ive gone to guitargeek and they've got plenty on korn, marilin manson etc but not much good stuff.. haha (just surprising is all, just turn up loud and saturate your sound with dist and lots of bass so no one can hear what your playing right?)
seriously i cant find a thing on them and i just need to lay down the lead guitar on a track, I would love the same lead sound they get
thanks.

Guitar Geek's not been updated in about a million years Such a shame, a great resource, and an inspiration to me when I was building my monster pedalboard (which I now don't use!)

I'm not trying to put you down, but good luck. Those guys have and use so many amps and effects that us mere mortals can only dream about. Pick of the litter, top of the line.
They use every trick in the book. Much of what they do has to do with mic and pre-amp selection too.
I saw them on their Hell Freezes Over tour and they had piles of amps mic'd seperately off stage. There was no telling who was playing through what at any given time.
Even so, every song sounded great. Nothing was out of place.
I would suggest you go with straitjacket85's advice. Start with a Fender tweed sound and build from there.
~Now git down and git with it.

put me down? truth is i had to record a version of take it easy and i just wanted to get as close to the real sound as possible, the tweed advice was great and the demo is now done, i just used the tweed sound strait out of my vox tonelab strait into my 002 and my 59 strat, the sound is a lot closer than i thought i would get and everything is sounding pretty and very close to the original, was just so an agent could see how close and quick i could get things together
thanks all for the help!

"put me down?"
This board has some people who disagree with each other but it always stays cool.
What ever I say I never mean it in a way that should be taken as a put-down.
"....everything is sounding pretty and very close to the original, was just so an agent could see how close and quick i could get things together "
That is great news.
Hope you get the gig AND the money!

money and gigs are rolling!!
I do realize that getting the exact quality of the eagles is far beyond my reach and price range, it was just a general thing, I wish i had the cash to get their sound both studio and live!!
cheers for the well wishes, merry xmas and happy new year!!
that goes for everyone!
