 AIM
So Aol instant messenger has its pros and cons:
Pros:
-You can have a discussion 10x as quickly and be able to efficiently discuss every aspect of a piece of gear or a style of playing or so on
-it is a little easier on the servers for our favorite little website
Cons:
-Lurkers can't read the discussion
-Too much foreplay is required to get to the real conversation (Hi. Hey. You Know who this is? Yeah, you're the guy from the forums. Yep. So how you been. Good. Yeah so... you're into guitars? Yeah. Me too.... you get the idea.)
-Only two or three people would really participate.
So what do you say? Are we pro chatting on AIM or con?

Yeah we want people to be able to read and learn from all of these threads even if they don't have anything to contribute.
