Post 8 string basses
I've been looking into 8 string basses lately. I've played the Hamer 12 string a few years ago. I thing an 8 string would be easier to deal with (stringing and tuning). I've been seeing all these brands I've never heard of on ebay like Brice and Galvestone. Has anybody heard of/played these guitars? Or have any reccomendations for 8 string basses?

well, are you looking into 8 individual strings or 4 groupings of 2? i don't know much about the grouping stuff but for individuals, there are a TON of amazing companies that do 7 strings basses and beyond. the most well known of these brands is conklin.

you can check them out here

the bassist from the church i used to go to played an 8 string. it was bass, keyboards, drums, and a few horns so he had to make up for the lack of guitar in some songs. he played that thing like a freak.
