 7 Strings!!
I was thinking about buying a 7string
So I've been looking at these two:
http://en.woodbrass.com/SCHECTER+ELECTRIC+GUITAR+-+DAMIEN+SERIES+-+DAMIEN-7
http://en.woodbrass.com/IBANEZ+ELECTRIC+GUITAR+-+RG+SERIES+-+RG7321-BK+-+7+STRING+-+BLACK
I'm not really asking "Which is best?" But more like what are the differences between the pickups etc.?
Of course I doubt I'll buy anything before I get the chance to try a 7string out myself, just playing with ideas
Also I just like getting your general opinions. (And I feel compelled to start atleast one thread a day because og addictiveness)

My vote is for the Schecter Damian. The Damian's are absolutely beautiful! Add the active EMGs (I have them on my hellraiser) and the 26.5" scale, and you have a chunky machine that will go as low as you dare, and have an increased clarity even in standard tuning. The only drawback is that it costs more than the Ibanez, and the extra inch in scale length increases the string tension slightly. That means it is a little harder to bend the strings, but it doesn't give me any problem.

They sure are beautiful. If they sound even half as good as they look, they must sound like an Angel coming down to gently Sherd your face off!

They look really crazy too. There should be color choices for all pickups as follows: Black, White, Creme, Zebra, Crazy.

I had an RG7321 (before I sold it to my bassist), lovely guitar, great feel, great sound, just didn't need it any more. I had a DiMarzio Blaze Neck pickup in the bridge (odd option, but works really well) and an Air Norton 7 in the neck, and the sounds I got out of it were fantastic. Really versatile, really crunchy. There were just too many things I personally couldn't get on with... but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it as a top-notch affordable 7-string.

I must say I love the colour of the Schecter.
And i can't afford to pay for the QTuners ;D Well I could, but I doubt I would need them, or be able to give constructive feedback on them
