i don't care how it sounds i will never buy it or even want to play it as EVH is a jerk... i totally respect his abilities and such but he's just stuck up

there are deff. better guitarists than EVH, but he doesn't know that.

buzz... i'm not surprised. and fender help designed it so that's part of it too. i'm not knocking fender but they have always had a little buzz to them

I haven't played one but it looks like they are going after fat old guys with money who just want something 'nice' to put in the living room.
It is probably a very nice amp, but the appeal is boutique all the way.

Nothing agianst something nice in the living room, but I'd buy a nice leather couch for that kind of coin.

I really dont understand what all the fuss is over EVH. The guy hasnt put anything out worth a shit in over 20 yrs. Hes an addict and an alcoholic. I bet hes just running out of cash, thats why hes putting out a new signature amp and guitar lines. I have no respect for a man that has incredible skill and talent and chooses to waste it in a bottle or up his nose......

well...i SAW one of the new EVH's....but the damned big city store was way to crowded and noisey for me to bother with it.

ya know, it used to be a cool thing to have Eddies name on something, but now it just seems (to me) to be a cheesey money making stunt.

the EVH Charvels are the same way.
i have never understood the fuss over the original Charvels, or the "San Dimas" ones either.
they are just bolt neck strat's.
so what if you have one painted like Eddies axes from the glory days....its STILL just a bolt on neck fender copy.
i would rather have a jap. made model 6 Charvel......they are awesome guitars for a great price.

sorry to go on that little rant.....its just sad to see a once great guitar hero whore himself out like he does.
think about it...the guy was married to Valerie Bertinelli , AND he was the hottest guitar player in the world !!!!

First off, too those guys here dissing Eddie, lets see what you got! In fact, I am no Van Halen, but I would venture to say that if you don't think he is very good, then I bet I could smoke you too!

As to the amp, who gives a fuck what you think of his personal tone. In 30+ years of electric guitaring, I never encountered anything like this. It may not have the versality of a lot of other amps, but if you play hard rock or heavy metal, this shit rules. Just plug into this sucker with no effect and turn it on. Holy shit. Thick, meaty, growly and even toned. Nothing else like it. Look to play blues, I will stick with Marshalls and Fenders, Boogies for fusion, etc. If I want to play high-end shred I would use a Peavy Satriani, but I am doing shit like (of course Van Halen) , Deep Purple, Zeppelin, et al, this is THE shit.

I would NEVER let my choice in equipment be dictated by whose name is on the outside. If you need a strat with a scalloped neck, the only thing you could buy out of a store is a Malmsteen model. And you would give a fuck that his name is on it?
