I've bee trying to get into some older acoustic delta blues. Robert Johnson, Leadbelly, Son House and the like.
Anyway, does anyone know of any modern artists playing this style?

there's a chick over here in australia, plays AWESOME gritty blues... not sure if it's in the exact style to which you refer, but check out her myspace - her name's LIZ STRINGER.... will look up her myspace when i get a minute and post back.
AHH something I know a little bout!!! Try checking out these guys...John Long, Frank Goldwasser...They are both with Delta Groove Productions...and while you are there look up Rizorkestra hes a one man blues band that makes some amazing stuff! They are all pretty Delatish...if thats a work which im sure its not but non the less you get me...
