Same here, three is not pushing it. I can push the cleans through my Fender amp and it will pop eardrums before it breaks up ugly. The Randall SS head I owned had beautiful distortion but bad cleans at loud volumes.

well.....if it was clean up till 3 , but breaking up past it ...then that IS pushing it .
that SHOULDNT push any amp .....

......but maybe its just a crappy power amp ?

For sure, considering it was 100 watt it definitely should have held up to at least twice that level if not a little more. Probably more than a crappy power amp really.

I had the Bass V-Amp Pro (supposed to work for bass, guitar, keys and vocals) for a while, which wasn't a bad bit of kit at all, although it did sound a bit too processed sometimes. But the guitar models on it were lame (I'm generally not a fan of modelling guitar processors - the only one I've heard that sounds good so far (and even that only as an alternative, never a staple sound) is the Digitech GSP1101 - I'd not buy a Line6 if it was the only amp in the shop and I was desperate!). Worked reasonably well for keyboards, but was let down by only having a mono input.

buy a peavey bandit. i play heavey music, and it has great distortion for it. nice and chunky. but it can get pretty whiny to. and cleans with reverb are amazing. much better than my $hitty marshall
