Hey y'all! I'm Martin from Bulgaria and that's my first thread. I started playin' electric six-seven months ago. The problem's that most people start with acoustic, learn the basics and then switch to electric. Is it really a problem that I started on electric? I also live in a small town, with a few musicians and I can't find a teacher. I'm on self-education right now. And I'm really confused! I mean, I know the basics - Major and Minor chords, barre chords, power chords, a few positions of the Minor Pentatonic Scale but that's all I can do! I like blues and rock stuff but I don't know which path I should follow right now - what exercises to do, what songs to study and how to advance. I hope y'all gimme a good advice soon! I'm really countin' on ya.
