I was influenced by John Fogarty, Joe Walsh, Billy Gibbons and Ritchie Blackmore.
I have never been much of a Zep fan. But as I grew-up just about every band I was in covered at least one of their songs.
I always felt JPs talents as a Producer have been very overlooked to say the least.
Say what we will about his shortcomings as a guitar player, but in the studio................. those efforts put the man in a very elite field.
If you want to NAIL that JP sound, you need a drummer who can play like like John Bonham. Drummers know it and it bugs the hell out of em' when YOU get all the credit.
When it comes to Drummers, the same can be said for Hendrix, Blackmore, Santana, SRV, and a thousand more.
Did you hear about the Drummer who locked his keys in the van?
It took the band an hour-and-a half to get the bass player out!
