great attitude my friend ....if only every musician thought that way.

nah ....i have plenty of FINE sounding amplifiers already.
i dont NEED the JVM ....i just WANT one.
i would buy the B-52 AT100 AND the Laney GH100TI before i would spend the same money on one JVM.
the kick butt Marshall sound is already covered by my Marshall rack

no i was referring to...if your going to do something right like buying the amplifier that you really want....then spend the money....i spent 2300 dollars on my triple rec and a custom made shock proof road case....best money ever spent...that amp rules...no problems been 5 years now

0hhh......0k
that is so true......buy what you really like, and dont "settle" for the one thats "ok" but cheap.
that is good advice my friend....not JUST for amp/guitar buying , but for life in general too.

Then he went into what kind of cargo van we're getting.
My arms and car are already happier.
Ouch, I feel ya! I'm incredibly happy my 4x12 only weighs in at 85lbs including castors... it's quite a managable 1 person lift. Amp kicks in at ~55lbs. Of course, I'm looking at doubling them up, more fool me!
I remember back in the day (I played bass for a moderately big local band ~10 years ago) where I was lugging around 2 Peavey 115BW cabs (80lbs each), 2 Peavey 410TVX cabs (100lbs each), 2 Marshall 8412 cabs (70lbs each) and three heads (combined about 100lbs). My poor car must have loved me when I downsized after the band broke up!

It's like buying a car. There are lots of good models. Some people like vans, some like trucks, some like sedans. There is no best car, but there might be a best car for you. You decide.
I remember plugging my Les Paul into a neighbor's 1 watt beginner amp and thing "holy cow this sounds better than my [big name] amp, I want one of these".

The reason I voted for Mesa/Boogie is :-
I have played drums for many good guitarists and in my opinion
the tone and sound quality of the Mesa/Boogie amps compared to
the others gives me more valuable feedback during loud live performances.
I appreciate that that could be due to the way the amps are set up but
that is my observation.

I use a Marshall Super Lead 100 with 1 412 paired up with a Fender Vibrolux Reverb...I love my tone.
