Mmmmmmmmetal!
What's the head under the Mesa?
I hope you are playing out live with that rig and not just in your room, because I fear for the hearing of your parents!

I think you're right about Crate. Doesn't look like the Blue Voodoos I remember, but they may've had a faceplate redesign. And the logo writing seems to have blue outline, so who knows!

iT IS A crate GT3500H (350 watt guitar head)
Yeah i have a mesa dual rectifier roadster, and a crate Shockwave head as well. The crate head is somewhat fucked up from where the fuze goes and stuff its broken but im gonna take it to fix as soon as im done paying my mesa haha. Hmm i dunno if that crate head is still around, i got it about3-4 yrs ago but i never see them anywhere anymore,i bought mine at guitar center in west covina, california. But now a days i dont really even see any crate gear in the guitar centers i gone too, maybe theydont carry that brand anymore? hmm maybe you just gotta place the order and then theyll get it for you i dunno, but that head was actually pretty decent for a solid state head! and only cost like 3-400 dollars i dont remember.

Are you saying you turn a 350-watt amp all the way up, and your band still drowns you out?

hMM... Well i wasnt the one connecting the stuff or anything, im not so smart with all the equipment and Ohms stuff and all that hahahha my friend did the connecting part and setting the volume and all that and well they said they couldnt hear me haha and i turned the volume up, more n finally all the way,,,,, with 1 CAB... they did outpower me the other guitarists and drums were louder,.... then i played with a another cab so it was now a full stack but now all i needed was a little past halfway on the volume knob and i over powered them......
Maybe 350 watts were only possible with a full stack? Because the HALF STACk did not sound like not even 200 watts haha piece of shit solid state crate head. like my mesa i got, i have it set on HALF POWER (50 WATTS) and i turn it up like halfway on the volume and MASTER and WOw... that shit will rip a hole in the ozone layer... something the crate couldnt do no matter how hard it possibly tried hahahaha.
Ah well but i gotta admit for a crate, that amp has lasted me a while with no problems! till i messed with it and broke someshit on the back and now i gotta fix it. I gotta stop doing that......... everytime i mess something up or brake something... i try becoming a mechanic and fixing it and well always make things worse and fuck them up more then they were already fucked up hahahah. well gotta go... P E ACE.

Wow. I'd bet anything your Crat has a half-switch somewhere, or it's 350 stereo, or something to that effect. Even as a solid state, 350 watts should also be ripping a hole in the ozone layer! Insanity.
Anyway, on a different note, how you dig the octave pedal? I've been looking at those, for something to experiment with.

Well the octave is fun to mess around with, I wont use it when i play or jammout with people/bands. But to mess around at home or something its alright. I like playing it while using the distortion.... it sounds like its the guitar and the bass following the guitar when you play both pedals on at the same time, and when the settings are set a certain way. I wanna buy a chorus though, seen some used ones from 30-40 bucks. but hopefully they work haha they are the BOSS super chorus pedal, i wonder if they suck cuz i used them before and they sound ok... but maybe theyre not as good cuz when i go to guitar stores i always see a bunch of used ones people have returned and dont like.online too haha i dunno but eh i might get one just to play here at home and make some crazy weird noises haha.

I have two Boss Super Chorus pedals (in different rigs), I find they sound pretty decent. I think a lot of people start with all the knobs turned all the way up, and wonder why it sounds awful. Best bet is to start with them all at about 12 o'clock and tweak from there (looking at one now, it's got the level at 12 o'clock, the EQ at about 11, and the rate and depth at about 1 o'clock).
Man, that Boogie footswitch is insane though! How many footswitches do you need? I'll stick to the three on my Peavey JSX, I think!

- WELL THE FIRST FOUR ARE FOR EACH CHANNEL (being a total of 4 channels)
the 5th one, turns on the Reverb on whatever channel ur playing.
- The 6th one i DONT NEED, but i use it now that i have it haha, It just mutes the sound and well in the back of the head it has a INPUT CONNECTION and thats where i have my tuner connected to so you hit that one and just MUTES the sound (Although my tuner has a mute button as well haha now i just use the Footwitch to mute the sound )
- THE LAST 2 Footswitches i still have not got a good Idea of how to use/take advantage of them haha one is the FX LOOP and the other is the SOLO MODE. iVe tried them n tried them but couldnt get a sound out of them, i was waitiing till i had some time off of work to read the manual more in detail on how to use those features.)
I saw that PEAVEY JSX at some store but i think the tubes were centuries old and didnt work or anything haha i was gonna play it but it didnt turn on haha. There was 3 mesa boogie heads, all triple rectifiers and i was gonna buy one and well NON of them had working tubes or anything, non of them even wanted to turn on so that was a very bad sign/look to me hahaha... then The store guy said, hmm you like those mesas, check out this Dual one its somewhat better than the tripple rectifiers, and well after somehours of playing it I ended up buying it haha But GOD DAMN are they expensive... cool thing i like is how i can just change the tubes myself! Thats what was worrying me about buying a Tube AMp. but then i heard peaveys and mesas have FIXED BIAS (which i recently found out the meaning of haha) and then that you can change the tubes yourself! FUCKEN GREAT!! and yeah i played the chorus pedal, i likethe sound, its just i see so many used ones for sale im like shit... do the pedals suck or do people buy them thinking its another effect haha buy yeah i might buy me a used one.
