2 overdrive knobs

an on/off little really small white button

1 clean knob

3 equalizer knobs

a reverb knob

also a high and low jack for the guitar to plug into

the knobs/random button go in order from left to right if that matters... Can someone explain IN DEPTH with ALL of this meANS and how to use it correctly and what its fr ect. im not very guitar litterate...

also on the guitar there are four knobs...

2 volume two tone i know whih are which but what are they for/how do i maximize use?

if it matters its an Epiphone G-310 SG with Studio 15R epiphone amplifier...

the knobs go 1-10...

i also have a switch... wht is this switch?

i play ACDC mostly but i wanna play Jimmi Hendrix kind of blues/jazz rock and ed zeppelin but mostly acdc, does anyone know what settings to use/where i canfind what settings to use?

thanks in advance...

First off your switch probably plugs into the amp so that you can go between a clean sound and a distorted sound on the fly.

When your amp is in Clean mode there are separate knobs to deal with to change its tone.

When it is in distorted mode it has separate knobs as well.

The EQ or "Equalizer" is so that you can change the high, mid, and low tones of the sound coming out of your amp. This is very important to get the sound you want.

Should I explain the ON/OFF switch... I would hope not.

About the FX loop. Read http://www.stinkfoot.se/andreas/diy/articles/loop.htm

When using your guitar you should probably plug into the High jack, although experimenting with the low jack is optional but always fun.

Hope this helps some.

ok...lets get the guitar out of the way first.
to start , just keep the knobs all the way up.
the controls are passive...they dont ADD anything.
the tone knob will just cut treble as you roll it back.
the volume will simply lower the input to your amp.

ok...on to the amp...
to start , plug into the high input.
i would guess you have 2 channels, clean and overdrive/distortion..the switch could be for switching from clean to distortion.

turn your first overdrive knob up about halfway ,and the second all the way down.
turn the clean knob all the way down.
set the low/bass knob to 6 or 7 , the mid to 3 or 4 , and the high/trebble to 5 or 6.
turn the reverb to zero.

now turn on your amp. select the clean channel and slowly turn up the clean volume to the desired volume.

adjust the EQ knobs to taste.

switch to the distortion channel , and slowly turn up the second overdrive knob to the desired volume...adjust the tone knobs to sound the way you want them to.
if you want more distortion turn up the first overdrive knob.

adjust the reverb knob to what sounds good to you.

this should be a good starting point.

enjoy ! Very Happy

Sometimes it's hard to explain simple things in laymens terms. Example: what is the definition of "the"? Everyone can use it, but can you define it off-hand? It's weird how things work in your mind sometimes.
