Quintuple is a great meter to jam in. It's difficult to swing on, but really fun once you get it down.

I have a lot of fun playing in 7/8. My solo project used it in a song and put a pretty cool groove to it if you want to check it out...

im not farmiliar with the term Quintuple, what is that?

I seem to be most creative/challenged in 6/4 but to each their own. I do have a difficulty with counting and whatnot. Cheers to public schools of America.

if your keen to write and check out some alternate grooves just add an odd bar at the end of your riff

e.g.

instead of thinking in 11/4 just think 4/4 4/4 3/4 after all when you read up on greats that play even 5/4 they say just think in 2 then 3 (or 3 then 2) no one counts to 19 when they play, not even john mclaughlin or anyone in the Mahavishnu orchestra, its all broken down into smaller parts

some even just 'riff' it out.

ive heard some talk about 23/32 and all that but its just wanky shit that people say to look cool

now lets all go write some some in the key of F and C flat haha
