Is the neck radius of a V neck smaller than the radius of a C neck. I own an acoustic Ovation Applause and plan to get a American Deluxe Fender Strat. I played a Strat at guitar center today and noticed that it was larger than the neck on my Ovation. I'm curious whether a V neck will make a difference. When I was at guitar I also tried the S1 switch and really couldn't hear a difference in tone at all. It could be because I was using different effects, but does the S1 switch make alot of difference in the sound of the guitar?
V-shaped necks are likened to what country guys used, being able to throw your thumb over the top of the neck when playing because you had a little less wood in your hands way. So I would think it's safe to say that it's a slightly smaller radius.
We have a Switch Wild IV Midi guitar, and to be honest, I'm not sure how similar it is to the model you mentioned. I can say that it plays surprisingly well, and my dad and I predicted that they'll be $600-$800 dollar guitars in a few years, if not sooner. All depends on if they catch on anyway, because they are great little guitars, expecially for someone who doesn't want to install a hex pickup on their own guitar.
