Post Acoustic Pedal Effect Help
Hey guys,
I'm new here, but not to guitar. I've done my share of touring and have put together a nice pedal board. I have recently started playing acoustic at some bar-type places for extra cash.

My question is, some of my effects don't mesh with my acoustic. For example, the mxr phase 90, Feedbacks a lot if the bass on the eq is turned up. I have tried turning the bass down on the guitar EQ, but then the tone sucks when it's not being used, any advice?

Here is a shot of my board, I'm not an effect junkie, just like clean and subtle effects. Acoustically speaking, the phase, chorus, and delay are mainly used.

Anyone have preferred effects they have good success with w/ their acoustics? Any tips to enhance the effects I have now? I'm normally playing straight through house as my acoustic amp isn't loud enough for the venues.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

you do play electric guitar right? the only effect i've ever seen or heard or needed myself is a chorus pedal. just opens things up a bit and fattens your sound. and MAYBE a delay here and there. but effects just don't go that well with acoustic guitars

I mainly play electric...lead in my band, but since shit has been in the toilet that past few months i've been playing more acoustic.

The phase set to really slow sounds great, but if the bass is too high it'll feedback.

chorus sounds great, delay is nice if you can tap it in...

Maybe you should spend a little bit of money for a multi-effects unit designed for acoustic, such as the Korg Pandora. http://www.guitarcenter.com/ToneWorks-Pandora-PX4A-Acoustic-Personal-Multi-Effects-Processor-103515383-i1124640.gc

thanks for the link.

doesn't look very user friendly. looks more like "playing in my room" friendly.... which sounds bad enough

There's this one too:

There are others. My point is that one of these things might be a good idea. The effects are designed to work with acoustics.
