Post Using a '65 Reissue fender twin reverb as a playback monitor
I've heard it through the grapevine that you can acually use the reissue as a monitor on stage but i'm not exactly sure how to do it. if anybody has any helpful hints i would sure appreciate it???????

well if its what i think you think i think you mean,.... then it sounds plausible. but it seems like it would need a lot of inter tampering to get everything to respond accordingly, best off just doing it the legit way.

Regular monitors are cheaper anyway.

??? Why would you want to do this? You want the drum mics, vocalist, bass player and whatever all to have that signature Fender Twin sound? That's just silly. If you only want to hear your guitar, well...plug it in to the amp and either stand closer or turn up the volume! LOL.

My friend in my last band had a re-issue twin reverb and attempted to set it up as such, also thinking that he could still use it as an amplifier at the same time. Retarded.

The only reason i am wanting to do this is because my monitors are not anywhere near the next gig i am playing at i really dont care what kind f sound i am hearing back at myself the point is that i just want SOUND coming back at me, and the twin is avilable, can it be done if i just run a monitor chord from the PA head into the input of the Twin or would i need to use one of the input output jacks on the back?????

That's something you should have said from the beginning.

I'm pretty sure you have to disconnect the speakers and hook them up to something else and somethng else and maybe something else so that it's playing only the signal from the PA or whatever. Something like that.

I suppose you could, if there was an open slot on the output side of the snake. You might need an XLR > 1/4" cable or adapter, but it will work. It will sound like complete dogshit, but it will work. Instead, why don't you just borrow a friend's truck or something, and haul your monitors?
